Saturday Escalante Days Parade Info - August 12th
9am: Line up begins in front of the Dolores High School on Central Ave, between 12th & 14th street.
You will be given an entry number to attach to your float, vehicle or person upon check-in that morning, attach to Driver's side and make sure it's visible for judges and emcee to see.
9:50am: Check-in closes, final instructions given before parade begins
10am: Parade will proceed West down Central Avenue. Please slow down when you reach the Judges Table (located between 7th & 8th Street) and when you reach Flanders Park (between 4th & 5th Street). You will continue to 3rd Street, where the Parade will end.
Only registered political candidates can have signs for their candidacy on their vehicle, and the candidate themselves must be in the parade. No other political signs allowed.
CANDY: Candy and cards may be handed out, but not thrown on the ground. We do not want to clean up all the candy run over in the road, and do not want children running into the street to pick up candy. So, you can give out candy as long as it doesn't hit the ground.
