Patrick Colton Service Award 2024

For Graduating Dolores Seniors who do community service

In memory of past Rotary President Patrick Colton, who modeled civic-minded behavior, the
Dolores Rotary Club awards $500 each year to a graduating Dolores High School senior, regardless of class standing, who has engaged in community service that made a contribution to the community.

This award is not about academic achievement, but rather about volunteer community service

We will take into consideration overall contributions, special leadership qualities that were developed, problem solving, measurable impact, number of people reached/served, or any obstacles that were overcome.

Examples of eligible service activities include volunteer services for the general benefit of the community and it's citizens, such as non-profit organizations, service clubs, churches, scouting organizations, nursing homes, hospital work, city or county work, day care, animal shelters, tutoring, fairs & shows, forest service, agriculture, conservation, recycling, safety, public health, student government and individual projects.
