The Cortez Aviation Heritage Society is based at the Cortez Airport. They maintain the aviation exhibit at the airport, and the organization shares the unique aviation history of Montezuma County which includes Round the World Flight of a single-engine aircraft, the U2 plane landing, and the historical aviators of the county and the famous people they piloted around.
